Some leaders know what they’re doing, but can’t get others to follow them. They have a lot of good information, but can’t get people to listen. Or maybe, they just can’t hold anyone’s attention. You might be an authority in your field and have all the answers, but if you’re too boring, no one is going to benefit from what you have to say. If you don’t know how to use a story to bring a concept to life, you’ll put your audience to sleep. As a leader, you need to be able to communicate vision, purpose, values, and more in a way that causes people to pay attention and remember. And telling stories is one of the best ways to do that.
